SUP4TEAM

Michael Meyer & Sherry Meyer started SUP4TEAM—which stands for Standup Paddleboarding for Teachers, Emergency Responders, and Military, two years ago with some motivated and close friends.  The all-volunteer 501c3 nonprofit offers teachers, emergency responders, military members, veterans and their families members relaxation and camaraderie on the water.

Sherry is the owner & publisher of a community magazine & marketing platform: Stroll The Canyons at Scenic Loop providing the residents of the Canyons at Scenic Loop area neighborhood connection points, events  and building community partnering with many local businesses.  She is originally from Houston and has served as a national level account executive in several capacities, in the corporate housing industry serving Fortune 500 companies and then representing the City of Tampa in destination marketing for the Tampa Convention and Visitors Bureau for the North American & Canadian markets.  Along with Michael, they have traveled to several points around the globe, living most notably in Damascus, Syria in a diplomatic post.  As an Air Force family, they lived in multiple US locations as well.

Michael is a defense consultant specializing in international security and a retired Air Force inteligence and foreign affairs officer.  He has always had a love of water and happily discovered SUP ten years ago when Sherry gifted him with his first standup paddle board while the family lived in the Panhandle of Florida near Pensacola.

Together, with their daughter and standup paddle friends, they love paddling on Boerne Lake and serving SUP4TEAM servant leaders in our community!
