![]() Birding in Texas, The Science working with Cornell University
Nov 03, 2023 12:00 PM
Nancy began birding when she was 8 years old on the far northside of San Antonio(1960). After 38 years in Houston raising her family, she and her husband retired permanently to their home near Waring/Sisterdale area in 2011. She had sporadically birded in this area at family property since 1978. Birding is a great hobby that both she and her husband enjoy together here in Kendall County and throughout Texas. She participates in Citizen Science projects locally and contributes to Cornell University’s worldwide database referred to as e-bird. Each year members of the Citizen Science projects do bird counts through out Kendall County to measure the health of the bird population. Nancy needs our help in getting access to properties within the county so these volunteers can get the job done. Introduction By Ken Stickney |
